Mentoring & Young Lawyers
The Mentoring & Young Lawyers Committee supports law students and early-career attorneys by fostering meaningful connections, professional growth, and long-term engagement within CABA. The committee serves as both an entry point for new members and a bridge to lasting mentorship and leadership development.
At the core of the committee’s work is the CABA Mentoring Program, which connects members through one-on-one and small-group relationships built on shared interests, guidance, and professional growth. Its mission is to cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships that encourage mutual support and development across the legal community.
To advance this mission, the committee:
-
Recruits mentors and mentees annually.
-
Matches participants based on goals, experience, and interests.
-
Provides tools and resources to support successful mentoring relationships.
-
Offers ongoing guidance, programming, and support throughout the year.
-
Collects feedback to continually strengthen and improve the program.
-
Hosts networking and mentoring events that bring members together.
Through mentorship, programming, and peer connection, the Mentoring & Young Lawyers Committee helps members learn from one another, grow together, and build a stronger, more connected legal community—while empowering the next generation of leaders within CABA.
