George Volsky graduated from the University of Chicago Law School and is currently a partner at Akerman. Mr. Volsky’s primary areas of practice include international complex commercial litigation and arbitration. Sandra J. Millor graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is currently an associate at Akerman. Ms. Millor’s areas of experience include: Business Disputes, Class Action Defense and International Litigation & Arbitration. Despite their busy practices, Mr. Volsky and Ms. Millor both immediately stepped up and answered CABA Pro Bono’s call for help on behalf of the many unaccompanied immigrant children that entered at the end of the summer in 2014. With a strong desire to help children that have been abused, abandoned and neglected by their parents, they agreed to represent a teenager in need. Mr. Volsky and Ms. Millor are exemplary attorneys and have vigorously fought for their pro bono client’s rights and well-being. Mr. Volsky and Ms. Millor went to State Court, filed an Appeal in the 3rd DCA, and the case is currently being considered by the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Volsky and Ms. Millor’s hard work and dedication to their pro bono client is not only making a huge difference in their client but also potentially helping an entire class of children in need. CABA Pro Bono is extremely grateful for their strong commitment to pro bono and willingness to go the extra mile for children that have been mistreated their entire lives.
